SMTP – Checks

smtpOuch, I thought with the last post to conclude the SMTP series, but I forgot one element: how to check these services, if they are operating like they should.

The anti-spam triangle, how I myself decided to call it, consists of DMARC, SPF and DKIM,as I’ve covered in the previous post.

Now a few simple but effective links how and where to check if your records and configuration are functioning properly.

Now that we hopefully have all our mechanisms in place (SPF, DMARC and DKIM) so that giants like Google and Microsoft accept email from our mailservers, we’ll want to make sure with a few SMTP checks.

Complete series: Backscatter check, DMARC, SPF, DKIM with Postfix, DKIM with Postfix and rspamd, DKIM with DirectAdmin and Exim and SMTP checks.
